Description:

As Fleet Manager, you are responsible for working with others to maintain efficient
operations through effective management and performance of maintenance and repair operations. You will work under the supervision of the Vice President. You will supervise, train, and assist employees in maintenance and repair operations, and related supportive duties. You will work to ensure vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and repaired by reporting on maintenance due, and tracking maintenance and repairs in progress, and recording work done. You will also work to ensure the availability of supplies, parts, materials, tools, etc. to both maintenance and contracting departments.


Design & Specification:

Trucks, trailers, equipment, upfits, power equipment and hand tools. Negotiate,
purchase, trade and sell: trucks, trailers, equipment, upfits, power equipment and hand tools• Explore and Implement New Technologies
  • Plan and Execute becoming more sustainable
  • Zero based budgeting for all
  • Maintenance and Repair:
Trucks, trailers, equipment, power equipment and hand tools
  • Parts and Supplies:
maintain sufficient supply. Look for new vendors and alternatives
  • PM, Field Service and Repair: Movement and Towing
  • Storage: Maintain proper storage of trucks, trailers, equipment, uplifts, power equipment and
hand tools
  • Damage: Repair, rental and subrogation
  • Training: Prepare training materials for owned, rented or leased equipment for Training & Safety
Manager
  • Inventory Control: Develop and implement inventory controls including check in/out
  • Fixed Asset Schedule: Work with accounting to add or delete new or decommissioned items
  • Employee Use Maintenance: Inspect and document how employees use and are maintaining
our assets
  • Keys: Issue, and control
  • Tag In/Out: Implement a system for efficient use and safety
  • Design and Manufacture of Custom Equipment
Hours: Full Time Salary exempt position. Working Monday through Friday. The work schedule may vary depending on demand, and the occasional weekend work during peak periods may be required.
Travel: Travel is expected during the course of business to pick up/drop-off parts, materials, equipment, etc. A company vehicle will be provided for transportation. Occasional overnight travel may occur.

Responsibilities:
  • Asset management
  • Vehicle licensing and registrations
Roadside assistance & accident response – 24/7
  • Auto/equipment claim reporting and management with the leadership team
  • Manage maintenance and repair operations in order to maintain a safe and efficient fleet of
vehicles and equipment according to the company’s preventative maintenance plan
  • Schedule preventative maintenance and work orders to be completed
  • Maintain a list of maintenance requests; prioritize and schedule the maintenance and repairs
  • Prioritize and assign work orders to maintenance technicians
  • Supervise technicians in the completion of maintenance and repairs; maintain quality and
efficiency
  • Maintain inventory of well-organized maintenance and contracting parts, materials, and supplies
at all locations
  • Work with project managers, crew leaders, and others to maintain inventory and organization at
all locations
  • Perform inventories, create purchase orders, place orders, receive orders, dispense items,
update inventories, track usage
  • Work with the accounting team to maintain accurate and up-to-date records. Upload purchases to
designated accounting websites or email addresses.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed
  • Update meters, run PM reports, write and estimate work orders
  • Deliver and pick up parts, supplies, vehicles, equipment, etc. as needed to/from vendors,
facilities, Pizzo locations, and job sites
  • Keep records and assist in the management and administration of corporate fuel card
program/account
  • Keep records and assist in the management and administration of corporate Toll accounts
  • Keep records and assist in the management and administration of corporate Verizon camera
account

Qualifications:
  • Basic computer knowledge and typing ability is required
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are required
  • Ability to remain calm, composed, and professional in high-pressure or stressful situations,
always demonstrating sound judgement and effective communication
  • Ability to read and write English legibly is required
  • Basic algebraic math skills are required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required
  • Typing speed of 40wpm or better is required

Certification and Education:
  • Valid driver’s license with insurability is required at all times
  • Must meet and hold DOT med card (sponsored by Pizzo)
  • High School or GED Required. Some college or trade school preferred
  • Always Maintain a Non CDL Class C or higher


Physical Demands:

Exert up to 80lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects, bending body downward and forward, bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees, bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction, seizing, holding, grasping, turning, lifting, reaching, or otherwise working with hands, fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand, picking, pinching, or otherwise primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling, perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with skin, particularly that of the fingertips, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word.
