Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Flooring Installer who can expertly install a variety of flooring types, including hardwood, laminate, tile, vinyl, and carpet. In addition to flooring installation, candidates must have basic carpentry skills to install and finish baseboards and other trim work. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, take pride in their craftsmanship, and ensure high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install various types of flooring (hardwood, laminate, tile, vinyl, and carpet).
- Prepare subfloors and surfaces for installation.
- Install and finish baseboards, trim, and other carpentry work as needed.
- Measure, cut, and fit flooring materials accurately.
- Inspect and repair damaged flooring.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned by management, which may include assisting with remodeling projects or other general tasks.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in flooring installation.
- Basic carpentry skills, especially in baseboard and trim installation.
- Ability to work with a variety of flooring materials.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lead projects
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
