Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for food service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate food preparation and presentation.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding orders and special requests.
- Help set up for banquets or special events as needed.
- Ensure proper food handling and adherence to safety standards at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and needs promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques is beneficial.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others.
