Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of service. This position requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all orders are accurate and meet quality standards before serving.
- Assist servers by providing support during busy periods, including refilling drinks and clearing tables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables as needed.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and any special requests from guests.
- Help set up for banquets or special events as required.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Team player with a positive attitude towards hospitality and customer service.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in cooking or kitchen operations is beneficial but not mandatory.
