WHO WE ARE
Illuminarium Experiences is a state-of-the-art entertainment venue designed to transport guests into incredible immersive experiences. Our experiences are created using over 30 laser projectors, dozens of powerful video rendering engines, cutting edge beamforming audio arrays, multiple channels of audio, networked lidar arrays and professional show control systems.
THE ROLE
Illuminarium Experiences is looking for an onsite technician at our Las Vegas location to operate and maintain the technology in the venue on a daily basis. The technician will support the operations team for both our regular programming as well as special events, providing quick response times to any call, and maintaining our high standards for guest experience. Experiential technicians should have experience in live show production across multiple disciplines, including audio engineering and video production; and experience working with fixed guest experiences in the areas of audio and video system commissioning, programming, show control, and technical direction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Regular maintenance of all experience technology equipment in the venue.
- Documenting maintenance, faults, downtime, and needed improvements.
- Being on call during your shift to resolve any problem that may arise as quickly as possible.
- Interfacing and building collaborative relationships with the operations and events teams to ensure they have the technology they need to make a seamless experience for our guests.
- Preparing and operating equipment for live events in service of the guests and events team.
- Oversee venue daily show operations including, but not limited to: initializing and shutting down systems each day, ensuring all interior and exterior video screens are functioning properly and on schedule, verifying venue lighting and audio is at designated levels, and other system oversights as assigned.
- Collaborate with, learn from, and teach team members from each discipline and venue so that we can operate as a team and cover for each other as needed.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Live show production
- Video signal distribution
- Live audio mixing
- Dante Level 1 Certification
- AV system networking
- Projector maintenance experience
- System troubleshooting
- Basic program scripting (Python, Java, LUA, etc.)
- Watchout Dataton/Watchpax Media Server experience
- Touch Designer certification
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- General computer use for installing and configuring programs, changing windows network and display settings, email, slack, etc.
- Disguise Fundamentals (Level 1) Certification
- Q-SYS Level 1 Certification
- Basic IP Networking Knowledge
- Lightware Extender Experience
- Good communication
- Quick decision making
ACCOMMODATIONS
- Job functions require a mix of standing, walking, and bending, and being on feet for long periods of time.
- Use of computers, tablets, smart phones, and other electronic equipment.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 10-25 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds (with assistance).
- This person will frequently be required to be on step ladders up to 12' and extension ladders to 26'.
- Occasional use of a man-lift up to 40' will also be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- During the course of regular shifts or during special events, Team Members at times may experience prolonged exposure to the following: flashing light sources that may rapidly change in intensity, effects that would undermine normal visual perception, loud music and sound effects, vibrations from audio and haptic systems, manufactured scents, and smoke and fog effects.
