We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Freelance French Interpreter to facilitate effective communication between French and English. Experience is preferred but training is available. Choose between the following categories: Medical, Educational, Legal and Community.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with clients, healthcare professionals, and social service workers to facilitate discussions regarding medical or legal matters.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.
- Provide support in child protective services settings, ensuring that the needs of children and families are met through effective communication.
- Stay updated on relevant terminology and best practices within the interpreting field.
Requirements
- French and other languages are welcome to apply.
- Experience working in hospital settings or with medical terminology is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Freelance French Interpreter will be paid travel expenses to and from assignments.
- Freelance French Interpreter must have reliable transportation.
- Freelance French Interpreter can accept or decline any assignment when offered.
