We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling transactions in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively. Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred, as well as familiarity with POS systems.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their orders.
- Accurately process transactions using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area.
- Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Provide support in bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding food handling and safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in a cashier role within a quick service or fast food restaurant is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food preparation, culinary practices, and kitchen operations is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on enhancing the dining experience.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is essential.
