Candidate Profile:

Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in hotel front desk operations is a plus, but we welcome enthusiastic candidates eager to learn!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Greeting & Departure: Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with their departure, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout their stay.

  • Guest Registration: Efficiently handle the registration process by accurately inputting guest information into our computer system, confirming details like occupancy and room rates.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with various hotel departments to deliver an exceptional guest experience, ensuring special requests are communicated effectively.

  • Hotel Information: Provide guests with information about hotel amenities and local attractions, showcasing our upscale offerings.

  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of all guest and hotel information, ensuring trust and security.

  • Guest Requests & Complaints: Document and address guest requests, complaints, or issues promptly, working with the relevant teams for resolution.

  • Financial Transactions: Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, processing guest accounts at checkout.

  • Problem Resolution: Manage guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and tact, following our “Make it Right” guidelines to ensure satisfaction.

  • Reports: Generate, print, and distribute daily and weekly reports as needed.

  • Room Status Report: Resolve discrepancies on the room status report in coordination with Housekeeping.

  • Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of hotel features, services, hours of operation, room types, rates, and promotions.

  • Phone Service: Answer the phone promptly and provide clear, helpful information to guests.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to hotel safety policies and procedures, reporting any incidents in a timely manner.

  • Work Area Organization: Keep the work area clean and organized to promote safe and efficient operations.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in using moderately complex computer systems for information access and input.

  • Experience handling cash and credit card transactions.

  • Familiarity with local attractions and transportation options is a plus.

  • Strong skills in guest registration, checkout processes, and telephone service while adhering to brand standards.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage customer interactions with tact and diplomacy.

  • Ability to recognize signs of emergencies and respond appropriately.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with both guests and team members.

  • Exceptional command of the English language, both written and verbal.

  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, with a commitment to follow-up and outstanding customer service.

  • Flexible availability to work varying schedules, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • High standards of personal appearance and grooming; uniform and nametag must be worn at all times.

Physical Demands:

This position requires standing for extended periods and may involve some lifting. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, flexibility is essential, including working on holidays and attending scheduled training sessions.
