POSITION PURPOSE:
The Pearson VUE Testing Administrator will be the primary contact for the general public and all Pearson VUE test takers. The testing administrator will greet, answer inquiries and provide information regarding activities conducted at American YouthWorks (AYW), its programs within the organization, and information regarding testing dates and schedules. The testing administrator will comply with all rules and regulations from Pearson VUE while managing the exam delivery process and proctoring candidates while they are taking computer-based tests. The Testing Administrator will utilize Pearson VUE Testing System applications, such as Site Manager, Admissions Manager, Registration Manager, and Delivery Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions and basic tasks. Under direct supervision from the Grant and Compliance Manager and the Participant Coordinator, the Testing Administrator will perform the following functions:
Maintaining the highest level of customer service and test administration set by AYW and the Pearson VUE testing center.
- Daily startup and shutdown of the testing center, including reviewing the day’s testing schedule, checking for accommodations, running and testing all equipment, verifying that RMA was run, and shutting down programs, and sanitizing work stations, etc.
- Checking in testers, verifying identity, securing personal items, and proctoring exams holding to the standard of Pearson VUE Test Center guidelines.
- Greet persons entering the facilities, determine the nature and purpose of the visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
- Visitors are checked in and out using the Raptor System, issue and collect Visitor “badges” upon arrival and departure.
- Operate telephone to answer, screen, or forward calls, provide information, take messages, or schedule appointments. Check voicemails and return calls or route them to appropriate personnel.
- Zone Leader for the Safety and Security Team, which includes regular meetings, safety drills, and additional training as, provided.
- Perform administrative support tasks as needed, that include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Transmitting information or documents to customers using computer, mail, or other means as directed.,
- Creating member files/folders,
- Sorting, filing, and accurately maintaining records and documents for member files/folders,
- Ensuring the front office and program entrance reception area are clean and clear of all confidential documents
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Required
SKILL: Bilingual in Spanish and English
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE: One year or more of previous related experience in the specified work experience or job duties. Some experience working with young and diverse populations experiencing barriers to education and employment with criminal records and various lifestyles, behaviors, cultural and spiritual practices. Some experience working with contracts, reporting measurements, compliance, member coordination, and, or working in a Conservation/YouthBuild/AmeriCorps model;
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
KNOWLEDGE: Proficient in Microsoft Office and G Suite applications, general office equipment, and clerical procedures. Scheduling appointments, calendar management, and email filtration.
SKILLS: Leadership; Exceptional communication - verbally, written, and with presentation; Strong organization and time management; Ability to manage outside contractors and projects; Negotiation and quality control analysis, File management; superior organization, coordination, and facilitation to ensure effective outcomes; robust planning.

ATTENDANCE: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; with one-hour unpaid lunch break.
