El Pollo Guapo is growing! We are interviewing for front of house manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged. We Tip Pool so plenty of opportunities to make extra money (average $5 per hour extra every week!) Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
· Clean up station and take care of leftover food
· Stock inventory appropriately
· Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
· Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
· Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
· Maintain cleanliness of kitchen area including walk-in, dishroom, floors, walls etc.
· Wash kitchen utensils, pans, dishes etc at the end of each service
Requirements
· Proven restaurant experience or hospitality management experience
· Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
· Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
· Familiar with industry’s best practices
· Strong Communication skills
Physical Requirements
· Work may be fast paced and a high degree of quality and accuracy are required. Must maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time
· Expected 30-45 hour weeks, rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
· Will be exposed to possible food allergens including but not limited to; meats, fish, nuts, dairy, and oils.
· Will be exposed and expected to properly use cleaning chemicals
· Lift up to 40lbs constantly
· Lift from floor to shoulder constantly and overhead infrequently
· Twists, reaches, & bends frequently
· Listen to and comprehend instructions from staff and customers over background restaurant and equipment noise constantly
Frequent hand washing required
