Service Manager – Elevated, Coastal Dining

Our refined coastal concept blends elevated food, a thoughtful wine list, and genuine neighborhood hospitality. We’re seeking a Service Manager to lead from the floor, shape team culture, and ensure smooth, high-touch service in the heat of service.
What You'll Be Doing
- Champion training & development: lead by example and create a culture of learning through a trusted training team
- Set the tone with daily lineups and clear, intentional service strategy
- Be in the action during service—guiding flow, resolving issues, and bringing a steady, present energy
- Fine-tune systems: checklists, feedback loops, guest recovery SOPs, and more
- Own private event bookings from first inquiry to post-event follow-up
- Collaborate with kitchen and beverage leaders on tastings, menu features, and service notes
- Monitor labor and punch accuracy; help the leadership team adjust as needed
- Use Toast POS daily—prior experience is a plus
- Potential to support social media coordination
- Always uphold California labor and safety standards while modeling professionalism
The Role
- Hourly, non-exempt
- 4–5 shifts/week | 30–40 hours
- Must be available for evenings, weekends & holidays

You Might Be a Fit If You Have:
- 3+ years FOH leadership in high-volume, high-expectation settings
- A calm, grounded presence and an eye for the small details that define great hospitality
- A coaching mindset that builds skills, not just shifts
- Toast POS and labor reporting experience
- Valid San Diego Food Handler Card + RBS Certification
