Position Summary
The Fuel & Lube Technician Assistant supports the Fuel & Lube Driver with fueling, greasing, and basic preventative maintenance of heavy equipment. This is a hands-on, in the field role suited for individuals who are mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and eager to learn.
Core Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities:
- Fuel all equipment and accurately log gallons and machine hours - Grease fittings and ensure all points accept grease - Blow out air and cab filters; inspect condition - Perform daily equipment inspections with photos uploaded to Tenna - Report any equipment damage or repair needs immediately in Tenna - Maintain a clean, organized fuel truck and safe work environment - Load and unload parts and supplies - Accurately complete fuel logs and timecards with clear, descriptive entries - Communicate effectively and follow direction from the Fuel & Lube Driver - Follow all state and federal laws while maintaining constant awareness of your surroundings. Take necessary precautions to prevent hazards or obstructions with workers, equipment, utility lines, and the public.
Complete Scheduled Maintenance (Every 250 Hours on all assets):
- Sample oil, transmission fluid, hydraulic, and coolant - Drain and replace engine oil and filters
- Log service hours and inspection results - Record completed service in Tenna with detailed notes and photos Qualifications & Requirements Tools & Equipment- Hard hat, safety vest, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection - Weekly-laundered uniform after first 30 days - Fully stocked fuel & lube truck with required tools - Specialty tools provided as needed- Reliable transportation - (Optional) Basic hand tools for convenience (e.g., small socket set, pliers)This is an entry-level role with potential for growth in equipment service.
