Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas.
- Maintain floors through buffing and stripping as necessary to ensure they remain in good condition.
- Handle commercial cleaning duties including restroom sanitation, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and report issues promptly.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Support residential painting projects when needed, contributing to overall facility aesthetics.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure all areas are well-maintained and operational.
- Provide porter services by assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment as necessary.
Experience
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is highly desirable.
- Experience in commercial cleaning settings is a plus.
- Background in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning will be beneficial.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment usage is essential.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
