Job Summary
As an Amenity Housekeeper at Miramont Country Club, you will uphold the Club's commitment to excellence by ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the clubhouse. Your role involves executing detailed cleaning tasks, supervising housekeeping operations, and fostering a collaborative team environment. You will work closely with the Director of Housekeeping to maintain cleanliness, address maintenance issues and manage supplies, contributing to an exceptional experience for members and guests.
Job Functions
- Perform detailed cleaning of all public and office areas including but not limited to restrooms, sitting areas, dining areas, suites, meeting spaces, break rooms, work rooms and offices following the established checklist and company standards.
- Ensure cleaning carts, equipment, storage rooms and supplies are organized, sanitized and well-maintained to facilitate efficient work processes.
- Oversee laundry operations by folding linens, separating items, loading and unloading washers and dryers and pressing linens to maintain a steady supply of clean materials.
- Encourage teamwork by collaborating with fellow staff members, provide guidance and reporting any maintenance issues or supply needs to the Director of Housekeeping.
- Assist in overall quality control for housekeeping functions, continuous seek and implement improvements to enhance cleanliness standards and operational efficiency.
- Regularly check supply levels in all areas and replenish as necessary to ensure continuous availability of essential items.
- Handle all equipment and property with care to prevent unnecessary damage, ensure longevity and functionality.
- Document and report any deficiencies, including mechanical and electrical problems, to the Director of Housekeeping for prompt resolution.
- Label and submit all lost and found items to the front desk, adhering to Club policies.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks during slow periods and attend to special projects as outlined by the Director of Housekeeping.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to new housekeeping staff, assist in their training and integration into the team. This includes demonstrating cleaning techniques, explaining safety protocols and offering feedback to ensure adherence to Club standards.
- Complete all other duties assigned by the Director of Housekeeping or other members of management to support club operations.
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Hotel or private club cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong housekeeping and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with taking direction, as well as communicating with fellow team members within and outside of team.
- Highly responsible and well-organized in tending to the assigned area and beyond.
- Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Remain standing and walking for several hours during a work shift.
- Must be able to stand; walk; climb stairs; bend; stoop; kneel and use hands to finger, handle or feel.
- Must be able to climb a ladder up to 12 ft.
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
- Must be able to moderate noise levels in the work environment.
- Must be able to handle hot and cold interior and outdoor conditions.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
