Position Summary
As a Behavioral Health RN, you will:
Conduct risk assessments for self-harm/aggression at admission and throughout care.
De-escalate behavioral crises with therapeutic interventions.
Collaborate with treatment teams to implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and families on mental health management.
Lead activity groups and supervise Behavioral Health Technicians.
Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Licensure: Active RN license in New Mexico (or compact state).
Experience: 2+ years as an RN; 1+ year in acute psychiatric care (preferred).
Certifications: BLS/CPR required.
Skills: Crisis intervention, empathy, and teamwork.
