About the Role
We are seeking a Functional Analyst, Level I with deep expertise in a functional discipline—such as accounting, human resources, logistics, or another specialized area—and strong experience working with automated Government systems.
In this role, you will leverage your seven years of progressive functional experience to collaborate closely with systems analysts, contributing your domain knowledge to the analysis, design, and implementation of large-scale, complex systems. You’ll play a key role in identifying issues, recommending solutions, and ensuring systems align with both technical and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with systems analysts to integrate functional expertise into system design and analysis.
- Apply detailed knowledge of organizational practices, policies, and procedures to system-related initiatives.
- Analyze problem areas and develop feasible, practical solutions.
- Participate in and lead structured project reviews (walkthroughs).
- Assist in developing design deliverables and system documentation.
- Provide regular project status updates, highlighting issues, risks, and recommendations.
- Support management in addressing outstanding project-related matters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Seven years of progressive experience in a relevant functional area (e.g., accounting, HR, logistics, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of Governmental procedures, policies, and automated systems in your functional domain.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or with minimal direction.
Preferred Skills
- Experience collaborating on large-scale, complex systems.
- Familiarity with structured project review methodologies.
- Ability to translate functional needs into technical requirements.
