Hiring Afterschool Counselors for 2025-2026 School Year

Position Summary:
We’re seeking energetic and caring Afterschool Counselors to join our 2025–2026 school year team. Counselors play a key role in supporting students (age 2-5 or ages 5–10) during afterschool hours with structured activities, homework help, and creative play.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage students in afterschool activities, both indoors and outdoors
- Plan or assist with small group activities such as art, STEM, movement, games, or reading
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for all children
- Communicate effectively with team members and school staff
- Support transitions such as snack, bathroom breaks, and dismissal
- Handle minor conflicts or issues with patience and clarity
- Maintain attendance and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children in a school, camp, or childcare setting
- Responsible, reliable, and able to take initiative
- Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time: 15–20 hours per week
- Competitive hourly rate, based on experience
- Opportunities for additional hours during school breaks or events
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
