Bar25 Newburyport is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Garde Manger to join our culinary team. This role is essential in executing our vibrant, elevated small plates and shareable dishes, with a focus on cold preparations, composed salads, and more. We're seeking someone with a strong eye for presentation, excellent knife skills, and a passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and plate all cold station items, including salads, raw bar, crudos, charcuterie, and dressings.
- Ensure precise, artistic presentation in line with Bar25’s aesthetic.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cold station, adhering strictly to food safety standards.
- Assist with prep for daily service, including ingredient breakdowns and mise en place.
- Communicate and coordinate with the culinary team to ensure smooth, efficient service.
- Monitor inventory and assist in restocking and ordering pantry items as needed.
- Uphold a positive, team-oriented attitude in a high-energy kitchen environment.
Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen; cold station or Garde Manger experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and handling protocols.
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in plating and prep.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
