We are a locally owned company that has been in business in commercial waste hauling and recycling since 1992. Mr. Rubbishman services many type of refuse accounts including, but not limited to residential, commercial, construction, and many government line agencies to include autonomous.
Primary Job Function: The Helper is responsible for assisting with garbage collection services in order to ensure that garbage is picked up, collected, transported and disposed and deposits it in a truck. They are responsible for assisting with the operations of the garbage truck in a safe and appropriate manner. Helper must conduct all activities according to the delivery and collection schedule and all relevant policies and procedures. Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances; moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows or hand truck, stocks materials for storage or binning; collects refuse and salvageable materials. Digs, fills and tamps earth excavations; levels ground using pick, shovel tamper and rake; cleans culverts and ditches; cuts tree and brush; operates power lawnmowers. Moves and arranges heave pieces of automotive, medical, engineering and other types of machinery and equipment.
Required Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Knowledge of routing local area/streets
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to read and write effectively in English to record pickups and maintain daily records
Daily Duties:
· Assist with the operation of the garbage truck in a safe and effective manner.
· Perform daily safety, maintenance checks & ensure trucks & equipment are safely and securely stored.
· Cleans & maintains trucks and packer blade as directed.
· Participates in routine maintenance.
· Practice workplace safety.
· Collect garbage from residential buildings, businesses and other facilities.
· Maintain daily records of pickups on route sheet.
· Dispose of garbage according to set policies and procedures.
· Pulls banned materials, clear all mix loads.
· Acts as a ground guide.
· Keep yard clean.
· Other Duties as assigned.

- Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 50 pounds frequently.

- Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.
