Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced General Laborer with strong skills in painting and tile installation to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in a variety of construction, renovation, and maintenance tasks, with a focus on interior painting for recreational projects, as well as tile laying for floors, walls, and backsplashes
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, scraping, caulking, and priming.
- Apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Lay tile on floors, walls, and other surfaces using appropriate adhesives and techniques.
- Cut tiles to size using manual and power tools (e.g., tile cutters, wet saws).
- Grout, seal, and clean tile installations for a professional finish.
- Assist with demolition, surface prep, and general construction tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and report hazards or issues to the supervisor.
- Perform other labor-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1-3 years experience (Proven preferred).
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Good physical condition; able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, bend, kneel, and climb ladders.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Work Environment:
- Indoor and outdoor job sites; exposed to varying weather conditions.
- May involve dusty, noisy, or cramped conditions depending on site and task.
Compensation:
- Starting at $20-$23 per hour
- Opportunities for overtime and prevailing wages
