Our Alpharetta location, in partnership with Hidden Tap & Barrel, offers a unique menu featuring signature pizzas, wings marinated in authentic spices, a robust wine and beer selection, and a full-service bar—all in a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. We are seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead our team and deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Building & Leadership: Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing restaurant and bar team. Responsible for hiring, firing, scheduling, training, conducting orientation, and overseeing morale and discipline for all staff. Conduct regular team meetings and maintain professionalism at all times.
Restaurant & Bar Operations: Oversee all front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including the full bar. Capable of performing every function in the restaurant and bar to effectively supervise all roles.
Bar Management:
- Manage the full bar, including staff supervision, bar setup, and guest experience.
- Oversee bar inventory, ordering, receiving, and storage of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Maintain relationships with beverage suppliers and ensure the bar is always fully stocked with popular and profitable products567.
- Monitor bar financials, including pour costs, variance, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all liquor laws and responsible service standards.
Back-of-House Management:
- Ensure Curry Pizza House procedures for preparing menu items and prepping ingredients are strictly followed.
- Monitor food quality, kitchen safety, and cleanliness.
- Arrange for preventive maintenance and repairs on all kitchen and bar equipment and facility grounds.
- Maintain health and sanitation standards, passing all health inspections.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records for both kitchen and bar, using standardized systems and regular counts3578.
- Place timely orders for food, beverage, and supplies to avoid shortages or overstock.
- Track usage, minimize waste, and monitor shelf life of perishable items.
Administrative Functions: Perform all administrative duties including banking, handling voids and discounts, maintaining the POS system, and managing inventory and orders.
- Sales & Profitability: Drive restaurant and bar sales, be accountable for profit and loss, analyze financial reports, and implement strategies for growth.
- Guest Experience: Deliver and monitor quality guest service throughout the restaurant and bar, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Facility Management: Ensure the security of the restaurant, bar, and team during opening, closing, and deliveries. Arrange for facility maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Marketing & Community Engagement: Responsible for local marketing, expanding the brand, and building community relations.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with all stakeholders, including owners, assistant managers, employees, guests, vendors, and corporate representatives.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to all company policies, procedures, and standards, including personal hygiene and professional appearance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience (as General Manager) or in a similar leadership role within the restaurant and bar industry.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and set the standard for excellence in all aspects of restaurant and bar operations.
- Experience with hiring, training, scheduling, and conducting disciplinary actions.
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, payroll, inventory, and profit & loss statements.
- Familiarity with restaurant and bar management software and POS systems.
- Experience in local marketing and community outreach.
- ServSafe and responsible alcohol service certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Alpharetta alcohol pouring permit (or willingness to obtain)
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
