Escapology is the world’s fastest-growing escape game franchise, with over 90 venues operating around the world. Based at our store in Glendale AZ, we are seeking a General Manager to join our team and help drive our business forwards. The successful applicant will become an integral part of our team as we develop this exciting new venue. You will report directly to the owners of the venue.
Job Description general characteristics
- Scheduling of venue staff, including Assistant Manager and Game Masters. Must be able to perform any of the functions of the venue.
- Must do all the paperwork, including the end-of-month paperwork.
- Must train assistants how to correctly complete the daily tasks.
- Oversee the inventory going in and out of supplies and equipment
- Attend all marketing meetings and communicate results of meetings to Assistant Managers and other staff where necessary.
- Work closely on coordinating and executing events to exceptional standards.
- Tracking of the following: sales, customer counts, comps, giveaways, gift certificates, waste, over time, costs of products, repairs, and maintenance, among other things.
- Employment problem solver, overseeing all of the staffing of the venue.
- Manages and understands the backend and management functions of the following: Resova, When I Work, MailChimp (the database), POS system (Clover), Escapology website, Escapology University, Groupon, Morty, QuickBooks, All review and social media sites
- Responsible for putting all staff through the required training and managing the progression of staff from trainee to gold level.
- Responsible for ensuring the venue and games are maintained to 100% reliable standard.
- Responsible for the facilities of the venue (internet, telephones, electricity, etc).
- Create the regular reporting required by the franchise.
- Host a monthly staff meeting.

- Securing the right level of staff resources; protecting and developing those resources.

- Escapology managers are comfortable, even relish, working in performance and target-driven environments: they tend to view performance indicators as relevant and meaningful to the service they are expected to deliver.

- While not visionary, Escapology managers are able to see the “big picture” with their feet firmly on the ground and focused on operational realities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
