Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our casual dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service while driving profitability and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of employees, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and growth.
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including kitchen management, front-of-house activities, and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
- Develop and implement budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify areas for cost control.
- Create schedules for staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while managing labor costs effectively.
- Train, supervise, and mentor team members to enhance their skills in food service management and customer relations.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Collaborate with suppliers to manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of quality ingredients.
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the casual dining sector is essential.
- Strong background in team management with demonstrated success in leading diverse teams.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is required.
- Experience in budgeting and financial management within a food service environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
