Job Details:
This position is responsible for entry-level, non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
These positions could work in any department of the Material Handling facility. There is constant box handling throughout the entire area, and candidates must be willing to repeatedly push, pull, lift, and carry up to 100 pounds or more if required. Candidates must be willing to work in extreme cold or hot environments (33 degrees to 100 degrees), dry environments, and be willing to work above shoulder level and walk/stand 8-12 hours a day on concrete floors or grating. Candidates must also be willing to work in areas that are up to 5 stories tall with open grade flooring where ground level will be visible.
These positions may also involve the minimal use of hand-held scanners.
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson have a 180-day rehire waiting period and a 3-time limit.
Days off vary. The Material Handling Department operates 24/7, including shifts on Sundays and some major holidays.
Hours: WED MIDNIGHT – 6AM / THUR-SAT 6PM - 6AM
