The Event Lead is a physical security professional who directs the planning, coordination, and execution of security event operations to ensure the safety and security of all participants and assets during company events. The position builds and maintains key relationships with a wide range of stakeholders by promoting the security events program, ensuring consistency of policy, standards, and guidance together with effective and efficient security event services.Global Security Physical Security Operations, Event Lead Responsibilities
- Manage, lead, mentor, inspire, and guide an efficient security events team to align core event physical security services with the Meta and Global Security mission for both on-site and off-site events
- Provide reports to leadership on a regular cadence capturing security events metrics such as security incidents, response, trends, risks, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Manage day-to-day physical security operations for all sites within the region, engage with host teams, and escalate to Regional Leadership as needed
- Establish a regular meeting cadence with the security events vendor leadership to ensure the contracted services meet the required standards and expectations
- Disseminate new and updated regional guidance, policy changes, and updates to the team
- Supervise vendor management at a strategic level with a particular emphasis on service delivery, performance, and execution of Meta processes while ensuring compliance with security events requirements
- Evaluate events security vendor performance against Meta-issued event key performance indicators (KPIs) and expectations
- Serve as the main point of contact for security vendor management operations within the assigned area of responsibility
- Lead and participate in high-priority global and/or regional projects that are critical to Physical Security Operations core services and event strategies through working groups and steering committees
- Develop, implement, and enforce company as well as security events policies, procedures, and guidelines for the region
- Work with regional partners to adapt any security events protocols globally
- Stay informed and updated on pertinent information and best practices to uphold the security and safety of Meta's property, assets, and personnel
- Manage and respond to security risk and incidents to safeguard people and locations to deliver on Meta’s priorities, principles, and mission at company events
- Review threats, incident, and activity trends with the Events and Global Security cross-funcitional teams to develop and implement strategies to reduce risk and improve event service provided
- Share relevant findings and solutions to the Regional leadership team
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of experience in program management, security event management, law enforcement, or a combination of physical security disciplines
- Knowledge in the areas of Physical Security Operations, emergency/disaster management, risk management, crisis management and business resiliency
- Experience in Project and Program management
- Experience in vendor management and/or guard force operations
- Confidence to make decisions on short notice with little to no oversight
- Capacity to communicate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Capacity to work a flexible schedule to support various on-site and off-site events
- Experience in managing and delivering physical security for large-scale events (2,000+) in a complex environment
- Experience in communicating challenging situations and ideas to different audiences
- Experience in infusing innovation into strategic plans
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience identifying and effectively managing physical security risks
$88,000/year to $128,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
