Job Summary
The Golf Professional Operations Unit Manager will play a key leadership role in the golf operation, with a primary focus on managing golf shop merchandise operations and overseeing the outside golf service and locker room teams. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional member and guest experiences while ensuring strong financial performance, operational excellence, and staff development across multiple areas of the golf operation.

Job Responsibilities
Golf Shop Merchandise Operations
- Lead the golf shop's retail and merchandise functions with a focus on financial performance, product selection, visual merchandising, and inventory management.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with all Company accounting and audit standards related to retail operations.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance management for golf shop staff.
- Cultivate a high standard of personalized customer service and product knowledge among team members.
Outside Services & Locker Room Leadership
- Leads the outside service and locker room teams, ensuring professional, attentive, and efficient service to all members and guests.
- Leads the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and continued development of outside services and locker room staff.
- Implements and upholds service standards, and operating procedures for these departments.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and hospitality within the team.
Additional Duties
- Assist the Golf and Club Leadership teams in annual club planning initiatives.
- Support golf instruction programming and fittings when applicable. Maintain strong working knowledge of the game of golf, current equipment trends, and club policies.
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in golf operations, retail management, and/or staff leadership.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
- Strong financial acumen and familiarity with retail performance metrics.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with golf-specific software platforms (e.g., Golf Genius, Jonas, Repspark etc.).
PGA and/or AGM member preferred
