POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting the company in compliance with Government property procedures and manages and control adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) requirements. He/she will implement Government requirements in a manner which fully supports compliance and submit assigned reports such as IAW CDRL and ELIN's. He/she will receive assignments to make sure projects are completed on time and to the satisfaction of our customers and ensure compliance with FMM Safety programs and policies. The Government Property Specialist will produce written documents incorporating key language to ensure compliance with government regulations, drive and support continuous improvement initiatives and drive and support Lean (6S) initiatives. He/she will receive and store Government Material. He/she will be responsible for reporting excess Government material upon identification and load out ship prior to departure.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Compliance to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Implement Government requirements in a manner which fully supports compliance
- Submit assigned reports IAW CDLR's and ELIN's, such as SF1428, LDD, Non-suitable forms
- Inventory accuracy of Government provided material
- Assignment of jobs to make sure projects are completed on time and to the satisfaction of our customers
- Effectively listen and communicate with internal and external customers
- Ensure compliance with MMC Safety programs and policies
- Produce written documents incorporating key language to ensure compliance with government regulations.
- Exceed company goals and objectives

While performing the duties of this job, the employee's workspace is in a clean and comfortable climate-controlled setting with little to no exposure to the moving equipment, elements, extreme conditions, or risk of injury. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. When entering the shipyard, the work environment is not climate-controlled and there is exposure to moving equipment, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field OR Associates Degree plus two years' experience OR High School Diploma plus five years' experience in supply chain management and operations including government control management.
- Previous experience in inventory control at a manufacturing environment.
SKILLS
- Computer skills with word, excel, power point, etc. MRP preferable
- Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in an office and outdoor environment.
- Must have strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills.
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
