Job Summary
We are seeking a Graphic Designer with a minimum of 5 years of graphic design experience to assist the Marketing team with creative needs. Must have a keen eye for details and accuracy to shape, refine and execute creative across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide creative design for all aspects of the cannabis brand
- Support Marketing department with design projects
- Final checkpoint for visual and messaging accuracy—every comma, every color, every call-to-action
- Ensure creative consistency and quality across events, retail displays, digital content, and more
- Develop packaging material for product launches including working cross-functionally with third-party suppliers' creative counterparts to guarantee the accuracy of design implementation
- Create materials based on existing style guides to fit the brand image, as well as evolve the brand as necessary
- Develop full new brand concepts from the initial brief to the full brand package to support future product lines and new categories
- Provide advertising/graphic design for brochures, collateral, and logos, collateral, websites, marketing brochures, advertisements, billboards, in-store displays and literature and brand-awareness campaigns
- Reformatting and resizing digital/print files to multiple dimensions and file formats
- Photo retouching, photo manipulation, and compositing
- Help maintain and manage an efficient workflow among internal department team
- Work independently on projects, taking full ownership of the design, implementation and the final product, including on-time delivery
- Research new graphic design trends including packaging
- Contributes to creative thinking and brainstorming sessions with marketing team
- Develop static and video assets to support B2B and B2C initiatives
- Video editing and animation experience is a plus
AI Tools & Innovation
- Leverage tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, and AI plugins for ideation, layout, and iteration
- Use AI to speed up concepting and enhance creative output—without compromising craft
- Stay current on emerging tools and trends that optimize the design + brand workflow
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- BS/BA/BFA in Graphic Design or similar experience
- 5 years of Graphic Design experience
- Must be 21 or older
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator etc. and other relevant design and cloud-based software from Google Suite to Brandfolder/Dropbox
- Proven experience designing for print, packaging, digital, and in-store
- Deep understanding of color, typography, hierarchy, and storytelling
- Comfort working within evolving brand systems while elevating visual quality
- Meticulous attention to detail and proof reading accuracy
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana) and creative proofing platforms
- Possess strong time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends
- Portfolio of design work/experience
- Digital Design or Photography experience a plus
