Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of our grounds and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for landscape maintenance and groundskeeping, ensuring that our outdoor spaces are well-kept and inviting.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns to ensure a neat appearance.
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various maintenance tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair.
- Maintain garden beds by planting, weeding, mulching, and fertilizing as necessary.
- Assist in seasonal landscaping projects to enhance the visual appeal of the property.
- Collaborate with team members to complete larger maintenance projects efficiently.
- Maintain walkways, driveways, and parking areas
Handyman & Maintenance:
- Perform basic repairs including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of buildings and facilities.
- Fix or replace doors, windows, locks, and fixtures.
- Install shelves, fixtures, and minor appliances as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues.
- Assemble furniture and equipment as needed.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as gutter cleaning, pressure washing, and storm preparation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, general maintenance, or related fields.
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in landscaping and repairs.
- Ability to operate machinery such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and aesthetics in outdoor spaces.
- Good communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and report on maintenance needs.
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Occasional lifting of heavy equipment/materials (up to 50 lbs).
- On-call availability for emergency repairs may be required.
- Some weekend availability required.
