Job Summary
The Ground Support Equipment Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of ground support equipment used in aviation operations. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. The technician will play a crucial role in supporting aircraft operations by ensuring that all ground support equipment is functioning efficiently.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on ground support equipment, including tugs, belt loaders, and fuel trucks.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to diagnose issues and conduct repairs.
- Conduct inspections of equipment to identify potential problems before they affect operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety protocols.
- Use an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical systems within the equipment.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organized, following safety guidelines at all times.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends or holidays if required.

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
