Job Summary
The Guest Facing Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of public areas while also providing a positive guest experience. This involves cleaning and maintaining common areas like lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other public spaces such as the gift store, cafe terrace, and meeting spaces. Additionally, the Attendant responds to guest requests and offers support as required. Coordination and collaboration with the Facilities Manager is also required.
Hours: 40 hours per week Non-Exempt
Core Responsibilities
· Clean and maintain public areas: Performing regular cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and emptying trash receptacles in public areas.
· Clean and maintain restrooms: Ensuring the cleanliness and proper supply of public restrooms, including restocking supplies like soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
· Reporting Issues: Reporting any maintenance issues or damage to appropriate personnel for prompt attention.
· Following Procedures: Adhering to established cleaning schedules, safety procedures, and company policies.
· Supply Management: Maintaining an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
· Back-of-House Duties: Assisting with tasks in back-of-house areas like linen closets, cart maintenance, and trash removal.
· Guest Assistance: Greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing assistance and answering basic inquiries.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is advantageous.
· Ability to work weekends as needed.
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow cleaning procedures effectively.
· Good physical condition to perform cleaning tasks and stand for extended periods.
· Excellent guest service and communication skills to assist guests courteously.

This position may involve working outdoors in Florida, often in hot and humid conditions, and at events that extend into evening and weekend hours.
Notes
This is an hourly and non-exempt full-time position. The successful incumbent may be required to perform tasks beyond the scope of this job description as requested by the supervisor. This recruitment may be used to select candidates for additional open positions. It is our policy that all team members, including newly hired, transferred, and promoted team members, will be carefully monitored, and evaluated for an initial introductory 3-month period on the job. After satisfactory completion of the introductory evaluation, such team members will be evaluated on an annual basis.
