Lake Shore Public Schools is seeking applications from compassionate, student-centered, and collaborative individuals to serve as a Middle School Counselor at Kennedy Middle School.
Position Purpose Under the general supervision of the building principal, the middle school counselor supports students' academic, personal/social, and future planning development. The counselor serves as a key member of the student support team, providing direct services to students, consulting with staff and families, and promoting a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Emphasis is placed on prevention, early intervention, restorative practices, and positive behavior supports appropriate for middle school learners.
