We are seeking a talented and passionate Makeup Artist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in makeup application and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that clients leave feeling confident and beautiful. This role requires excellent customer service skills, creativity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Makeup Artist, you will have the opportunity to showcase your artistry while providing exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications for various occasions including weddings, photoshoots, and special events.
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable makeup styles.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all tools and work areas in accordance with health regulations.
- Stay updated on current makeup trends and techniques to provide clients with the best services.
- Assist with retail sales by recommending products that complement the makeup application.
- Upsell additional services or products to enhance the client experience.
- Provide hair styling services as needed, including hair threading and basic styling techniques.
- Collaborate with photographers during photoshoots to achieve desired looks.
- Ensure all equipment is properly sanitized before and after each use.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Makeup Artist or in a similar role within the beauty industry.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Knowledge of cosmetology practices and techniques related to makeup application.
- Familiarity with hair threading techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in retail sales and upselling beauty products is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of skin types and conditions for appropriate product selection.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
