Description
- Relevant Master’s or advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher) with a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position.
- At least one year of experience working in a health sciences or academic library environment or providing information services to clinicians.
- Demonstrated proficiency with emerging learning and research technologies, as well as information retrieval.
- Experience designing and delivering instruction in a group setting.
- Additional degree(s) in a field relevant to health sciences, including STEM and education.
- Record of professional activities, including scholarly activities, presentations, or engagement in professional organizations to achieve tenure requirements.
- Experience conducting systematic reviews or other evidence synthesis projects.
- Experience with collection development and evaluation of information resources.
- Interest in leveraging emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI).
Qualifications
- Work closely with faculty to establish library programs, services, and activities that meet instructional, research, and clinical needs of the assigned liaison area as well as other clinical areas.
- Design and teach curriculum-integrated instruction sessions in a variety of formats to meet the needs of diverse user groups. This may include the creation of asynchronous learning tools/objects.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to develop and offer innovative research services, including systematic reviews.
- Understand and respond to the information needs of faculty and researchers based on current and emerging trends in scientific practice.
- Develop and host workshops and programs on various topics appealing to a wide range of library constituents.
- Collaborate on collection development/management and evaluate new resources and information platforms.
- Engage in research, scholarship, teaching, and service requirements for promotion and tenure.
- Represent the library locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
