Job Summary
Heartland Excavating is looking to add experienced Heavy Equipment Operators and laborers to our team. We are looking for operators with a minimum of three years experience in the seat of heavy equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and the successful completion of construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery such as graders, scrapers,excavators, and dozers.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate equipment usage effectively.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on construction sites.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are stored properly.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to management immediately.
Experience
- 3 years experience in the seat of heavy equipment is required.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is a plus.
- Ability to build rapport with team members and communicate effectively on-site.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications for specific equipment or CDL is preferred.
- Must have own transportation to and from local job sites.
