Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Yard Laborer & Maintenance Technician to join our equipment team. This individual will play a key role in supporting daily yard operations, equipment upkeep, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be familiar with a wide range of construction and heavy equipment and take pride in keeping machines, grounds, and facilities clean, organized, and operational.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Cleaning & Inspection
- Wash and detail construction and rental equipment upon return
- Conduct visual inspections for leaks, damage, or wear
- Notify service team of any maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Maintenance & Upkeep
- Perform basic preventative maintenance (greasing, fluid top-offs, battery checks, etc.)
- Assist with minor mechanical repairs under guidance
- Maintain landscaping, grounds, snow removal, and facility cleanliness
- Rental Yard Operations
- Assist with rental equipment check-in and check-out
- Complete condition reports and ensure machines are customer-ready
- Greet customers dropping off or picking up equipment; provide basic operational assistance
- Organize machines in designated areas for accessibility and presentation
- Yard & Inventory Management
- Maintain an organized and safe yard layout
- Load and unload equipment using forklifts or skid steers as needed
- Conduct periodic yard inventory and equipment audits
- Customer Interaction & Support
- Provide courteous, hands-on assistance to customers and drivers
- Explain rental procedures, safety features, and basic equipment operation if needed
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Prior experience around heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor conditions year-round
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Forklift or skid steer experience a plus (training can be provided)
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Full-time, year-round position
- Schedule: Mon–Fri 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Sat 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Outdoor yard environment, requiring regular movement, lifting, and equipment operation

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
