We’re Solvang Spice Merchant; a quirky, inclusive, bustling spice shop in the heart of Solvang. We’re on the hunt for enthusiastic, personable humans with a flair for customer service and a love of storytelling — especially the kind that happens on TikTok, Instagram, and right at the spice counter.
What You'll Do:
- Greet and assist customers with warmth and humor
- Learn & share fun facts about spices, blends, and flavor pairings (don’t worry — we’ll train you)
- Ring up sales, restock shelves, and help keep the shop looking sharp
- Participate in creating fun social media content (you’ll never be forced to dance… unless you want to)
- Bring your own spice to the shop’s personality — we’re all about character
Who You Are:
- Friendly, upbeat, and great with people
- A little nerdy (okay, a lot nerdy) — whether you love culinary science, D&D, or musical theater
- Social media fluent: you're comfortable in front of a camera and maybe even have a favorite filter
- Reliable, organized, and okay with tasks like labeling and tidying (bonus points if you enjoy it)
- Teamwork makes dreamwork, so they say. At our shop, your close connection to the rest of the team is one of your greatest assets

- You’ve worked in retail or hospitality
- You can passionately defend your favorite spice
- You’ve ever cried tears of joy over perfect cinnamon
- You already have a Food Handler's Card
