Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities or requiring long-term care. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
CURRENT SCHEDULE - 36 hours a week - 8:30P-8:30A Monday and Thursday Night, and 8:30A-8:30P Saturday
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Observe and document patient behavior and progress, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety at all times.
- Provide catheter care and other personal hygiene tasks as needed.
- Support clients in assisted living environments or during home community care visits.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Skills
- Experience in home health care or caregiving is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Proficiency in measuring vital signs accurately.
- Familiarity with long-term care practices and protocols.
- Strong observational skills to detect changes in client conditions.
- Ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary needs.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
