We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated High School Mathematics Teacher to join our faculty at SLAM Miami. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mathematics and a commitment to fostering a love for problem-solving, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking in students. Our goal is to equip students with the mathematical skills they need to succeed in higher education and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, standards-based mathematics instruction to high school students.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and confidence in mathematics.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and individualized support.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, ensuring all students have the opportunity to excel.
- Integrate technology and real-world applications to enhance mathematical understanding.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to develop curriculum, improve instructional strategies, and share best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress with students, parents, and school leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certificate or statement of eligibility, with a willingness to enroll in a teacher preparation program if needed.
- Strong passion for teaching mathematics and inspiring high school students.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to foster a positive and collaborative learning environment.
- Experience with integrating technology and data-driven instruction is a plus.
