Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Part-Time High School Mathematics Instructor to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of mathematics and proven experience teaching a variety of high school-level math courses, including:
- Algebra I / Honors Algebra I
- Algebra II / Honors Algebra II
- Geometry / Honors Geometry
- Pre-Calculus / Honors / AP Pre-Calculus
- AP Calculus AB / AP Calculus BC
- Statistics / AP Statistics
We are looking for an educator who can inspire enthusiasm for mathematics while fostering students’ critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills in an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Engaging Instruction: Plan and teach high-quality, standards-based lessons that promote mathematical understanding and application.
- Create an Inclusive Learning Environment: Build a respectful, student-centered classroom that encourages participation and academic growth.
- Differentiate Instruction: Tailor teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners, including ELLs and students with learning differences.
- Assess Student Progress: Utilize formative and summative assessments to evaluate learning and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintain Effective Classroom Management: Establish a structured and focused classroom that supports consistent learning.
- Apply Best Practices: Stay current with research-based instructional strategies and integrate educational technology to enhance student engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field (Master’s degree strongly preferred)
- Minimum of two years of teaching or tutoring experience at the K–12 level
- Proficiency in curriculum design, lesson planning, and assessment practices
- Experience with instructional technology and digital learning tools
- Strong commitment to academic excellence, equity, and inclusive teaching practices
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
