Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to a Spanish speaking female. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a nurturing attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with family members.
Duties
- Assist client with personal care tasks, including administering medication and assisting with meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to client, fostering a positive environment.
- Help with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry and maintaining a clean living space.
- Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition to family.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical activities as prescribed by their care plan.
- Transporting patient, vehicle will be provided.
- Provide care for individual with specific needs, including memory care.
Skills
- Must speak fluent Spanish and have a valid driver’s license to drive.
- Experience in nursing home settings or caregiving environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology to effectively communicate patient needs and conditions.
- Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health status or behavior.
- Ability to assist clients with daily living activities while promoting independence.
- Knowledge of home community care practices that enhance client well-being.
- Proficient in basic cooking skills to prepare healthy meals for clients.
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with client and family.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
