Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to clients in the comfort in AFH home.The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in caregiving, with experience in long-term care, home care, and dementia care. This role requires a nurturing individual who can assist with daily living activities while ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers to promote independence.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
- Engage clients in social activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Document daily care activities and report any changes in client condition to family or healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care, long-term care, or as a nurse preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- CPR certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and families.
- Ability to prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs.
- Familiarity with social work principles is beneficial but not required.
- Must be compassionate, patient, and reliable in providing care.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
