We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes throughout the area. Traveling is required so a active drivers license and reliable vehicle is a must. This role is perfect for individuals with experience in home care, nursing homes, or caregiving settings.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Monitor and document patient health status, including vital signs and any changes in condition.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Support clients with dementia care by implementing appropriate strategies to manage symptoms.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop personalized care plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care, nursing home settings, or caregiving is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and practices is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating excellent time management skills.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others, especially those with disabilities or chronic conditions.
- Familiarity with social work principles is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
