Job Summary:
The Host at Arcade Time Entertainment is the first point of contact for our dining guests,
creating a warm and inviting welcome that sets the tone for their Play – Win – Eat –
Drink experience. This role is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing
waitlists and reservations, and ensuring the smooth flow of the restaurant’s front-of-
house operations. The Host works closely with servers, bartenders, and the events
team to provide exceptional service, promote specials, and ensure guests leave with a
smile.
Responsibilities:
Greet all guests promptly, warmly, and with enthusiasm upon arrival.
Manage seating charts, waitlists, and reservations to maximize table turnover
and guest satisfaction.
Communicate wait times accurately and keep guests informed while they wait.
Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and highlighting any current
promotions or specials.
Coordinate with servers and bussers to ensure tables are ready for seating in a
timely manner.
Answer phone calls, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries regarding
menus, hours, and events.
Assist with hosting duties during private events, large parties, or busy peak
times.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, menus, and entrance
area.
Support restaurant promotions by upselling menu items and experiences.
Work closely with the Events Team to ensure seamless coordination for booked
parties.
Assist with light bussing or food running when necessary, during high-volume
periods.
Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications:
Previous customer service or host experience preferred, ideally in a restaurant,
hotel, or entertainment venue.
Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable using reservation/waitlist software and basic POS systems.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights as
needed.
Work Schedule:
Full-time or part-time position within a 24/7 operational schedule. Shifts include days,
evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, with scheduling flexibility based on
business needs.
