Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for greeting and seating them while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus.
- Manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort.
- Assist guests with any inquiries regarding menu items and restaurant services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Utilize Toast POS system for waitlist management as needed.
- Provide assistance in coordinating special events or large parties within the restaurant.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with hospitality standards and practices is a plus.
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive guest relations and teamwork.
