We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. A strong focus on guest relations and customer service is essential to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or requests, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Coordinate with the serving staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and dining area.
- Support the restaurant team during busy periods to enhance overall guest experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services or food service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, as it aids in managing orders effectively.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with guests and staff alike.
- A background in hospitality or restaurant environments will be beneficial in understanding guest relations dynamics.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.
