Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service, as you will be interacting with guests and managing seating arrangements efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort.
- Provide menus and inform guests about specials or promotions.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the host stand.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with reservations or inquiries.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
- Assist in maintaining the overall ambiance of the restaurant, including music volume and lighting.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Host/Host or in a similar role within food service or hospitality is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with effective phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with a passion for providing exceptional hospitality experiences.
