Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive and guide them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and waitlists effectively to optimize seating arrangements.
• Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
• Communicate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
• Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about the restaurant.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
• Address guest concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
• Support servers and other staff as needed during busy service periods.

Skills

• Strong guest services skills with a focus on creating positive experiences.
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and non-verbal.
• Experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in phone etiquette to handle inquiries professionally.
• Ability to manage customer relations effectively, demonstrating patience and understanding.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• A friendly demeanor with a passion for helping others in a restaurant setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
