Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role requires strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality, making it essential for maintaining positive guest relations in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, ensuring that menus and promotional materials are up to date.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about menu items, specials, and reservations.
- Assist in managing the dining room atmosphere, ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Requirements
- Previous host/host or restaurant experience is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with food service operations and hospitality standards.
- Experience with POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS) is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
