Overview
As a Hostess/Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. You will play a crucial role in guest relations and customer service, contributing to the overall hospitality experience within our restaurant.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating process efficiently.
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times to guests accurately.
- Assist in managing reservations and special requests to enhance guest experiences.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area throughout service.
- Utilize POS system for managing reservations and seating arrangements effectively.
Skills
- A strong background in restaurant or food service environments is preferred, but not necessary.
- Excellent guest relations skills with a focus on customer service and hospitality.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members.
- Experience with SpotOn POS or similar systems is a plus but not required.
- A friendly demeanor with the ability to help create a positive dining atmosphere.
- Strong multitasking abilities to manage seating, waitlists, and guest interactions simultaneously.
